    Overview

    Malta offers two main routes:
    • Schengen Visa (Type C) — short stays up to 90 days in any 180 (tourism, family, short business).
    • Long-stay entry and residence — National Visa (Type D) and residence permits for study, work, or family. After entry on a long-stay route, you complete local registration and collect your residence card.
