Overview
The Czech Republic offers two main routes.
• Schengen visa Type C for short stays up to 90 days in any 180 for tourism, family visits, or short business.
• Long-stay permission for stays over 90 days, usually a long-term visa D or a long-term residence permit for study, work, or family. Long-stay cases are started at a Czech embassy or an authorized visa center. After arrival you register your address and, where applicable, provide biometrics and collect your residence card.
